Austen - Member for 3 years - Role on Team: Programming
This is Austen's second year on the team. He currently is on the programming team and helps with troubleshooting the robot. He isn't quite sure why he joined robotics, but he does know that he loves it! He has not only learned how to program but has been able to hone his programming skills here, absolutely one thing he looks forward to in robotics is the food. His hobbies outside of school include programming and playing video games. He dreams to become a professional programmer one day.

Carson - Member for 2 years - Role on Team: Mechanical
Carson is new to the team. He is working in mostly mechanical but tries to learn about the other categories as well. His favorite thing in Robotics is to watch all of the groups contribute to one thing, a robot. His favorite thing to do outside of school is to play with Legos and hang out with friends. His dream is to go to CU and be a designer.

Charles (Charlie) - Member for 3 years - Role on Team: Programming
This is Charles second year on the team. He is a part of the programming team. Charlie had a blast last year and is excited to come back. One of the many things he has learned from robotics is how to use LabVIEW. Outside of school he is a part of marching band (tenor sax) and is also in a band called "Shamwari". He isn't quite sure about his future at the moment; he just wants to have a fun high school experience.

Chris (Pastry) - Member for 2 years - Role on Team: Web Programming
Chris has been on the team since freshman year. He is currently on the team web programming staff. He heard about robotics through his older brother, and decided to join up. Since then, he has learned how to use Adobe Dreamweaver and some basic HTML and CSS. His favorite thing about robotics is that he can get a taste of what he might do in the future. Outside of robotics, he is involved with the Monarch Drumline and Writer's Guild. Outside of school, he takes kung-fu classes at a local school.

Daniel (Dan, Dani, Danno (you pick!)) - Member for 2 years - Role on Team: Electrical
Daniel joined the team his freshman year only two weeks before kickoff. He does some other things outside school like Track and Cross-Country so his schedule is a little hectic. Because of his late joining he felt fairly "out of the loop" and didn't really know anyone. But by the second week he already felt accepted and part of the team. He works on the electrical part of the team and is pretty new to all of the amazing things that go on around the workplace. Daniel first learned about the team through his teacher and one of the mentors, David Clark. His future goals are to either go to West Point or the Air Force Academy and become a career officer in the military, or make it to Brown or MIT and get a degree as both a biotechnician and a biochemist. While he is still thinking about his future, focusing on the 'bot and the team are his priorities right now.

Emily - Member for 2 years - Role on Team: Pneumatics
This is Emily's first year in Robotics. She is a part of the small pneumatics team. She is nervous about next year when she and the other first year will have to teach the new comers and hopes she is up to the task. Apart from robotics she is involved in marching band and writer's guild. She looks forward to making an awesome robot this year. =)

This is Garrett's first year on the Shazbots robotics team. He goes to Holy Family High School but joins the Monarch Shazbots team for robotics.

Grace - Member for 4 years - Role on Team: Mechanical Drive Team
Grace has been on the team since her freshman year. She has learned how to weld and how to drive a 'bot, as well as how to use most the tools in the shop. This year she holds the proud position of drive team leader. She is also co-shop manager of the team. She decided to join robotics when her brother joined. Her favorite thing about robotics is, well, all of it! Grace looks forward to Robotics every day. Ian (Pie) - Member for 3 years - Role on Team: Electrical
Ian has been on the team for 2 years. He is one of the 2 people in the electrical department. Kyle Suleski has been on this for about one month. He plays football and swims. His interest are video games, basketball, reading books, listening to music, skiing, doing outdoors activities, and hanging out with friends. Also, he wants to one day go to college and play football.

Michael (Picker) - Member for 2 years - Role on Team: Mechanical
Michael has been in the robotics class and built a good sized robot and likes the hands on aspect. Engineering and/or chemical stuff are what he would want to do in College. He is a junior and in the Band. He likes to work with his hands and know the inner workings of the bot. He also likes people and just likes to build.

This is Miriam's first year of robotics. For some unknown reason she started as a junior. Miriam is in pneumatics and hopes to actually know what the pieces are called by the end of the season. Outside school she plays baritone sax in the band. She is really excited for this year!

Nicolette - Member for 2 years - Role on Team: Business
She is part of the business team. In her free time, Nicolette swims for the Monarch Coyotes and is a Junior Ski patroller at Winter Park. She plays bassoon in Monarch's concert band and clarinet in the marching band. She is very excited about this year!

Taylor - Member for 2 years - Role on Team: Programming
This is Taylor's first year of doing robotics. She doesn't know a lot about programming but is excited to learn. Taylor joined robotics because her friend said it was fun. So far she's had a great time. It's hard to say what her favorite part of robotics is because whether it’s hanging out with everyone at robotics, or learning about algorithms and programming, she has a lot of fun. Outside of school Taylor likes to read, sketch, and hang out with her friends. She hopes to be a bioinformatician some day.
