Our Name

Mork and Mindy
Our very first year, 2003, we were the Monarch High School Regulators. The next year, we changed our name to the MO-HI Shazbots. There is really no story as to how we got either of our names. When we were deciding our second year if we wanted to remain the Regulators, someone yelled out, "Shazbots!" It sounded cool, and no one said no to it, so we went along with it, and we had a new team name.

It wasn't until awhile later that we discovered it was from a show called "Mork and Mindy".

From September 14, 1978 to 1982, Mork & Mindy was a sci-fi-based American sitcom, aired on ABC. The series starred Robin Williams as Mork who was an alien who came to Earth (in a large egg-shaped space ship from the planet Ork) and Pam Dawber as Mindy McConnell, Mork's human comedic foil.¹ Only to find out later that "Shazbot" was Mork's way of cursing. OOPS! Ha ha
But that's okay ...a rose by any other name would still smell as sweet, as Shakespeare would say.
