Mentoring:

Monarch K-8

At the start of the school year Mr. Peters sponsors a robot club at Monarch K-8, less than a minute walk from our school. This club is based around FIRST Lego League. Once the challenge is released for the FLL, members of our FRC team volunteer to mentor these young engineers. This year our main mentor was Paul. He showed the students how to build attachments for sensors, build a base for the robot, and how to act with gracious professionalism. Paul also helped build the board for the challenge, and the robot.

Noah and Mr. Clark

"We went over to two schools, Longmont elementary, and Eldorado k-8 to help them get started with their lego robotics club. We helped them by showing them how to program, work together, build a successful robot and more importantly have fun! The teams really enjoyed us helping them out and we shared our knowledge. In the end, the teams did really great." -Noah
